11A – Idea Napkin No. 1

1. I am a 21 year old student at the University of Florida studying business and real estate. I am good at socializing, making people laugh, basketball, and video games. I also pride myself on my leadership and organizational skills. My aspirations include succeeding in the real estate world in Los Angeles, traveling the world, learning new languages and cultures, and helping other who are less fortunate than me. I feel like this business would play a heavy role in my life because of my aspiration to help those who are less fortunate than me. I feel like this business can help hundreds of thousands of people.
2. I am offering a way to further integrate yourselves in your new country. I am offering a way to involve yourself in the technological world further than people in these circumstances can ever imagine. The product is an app on all platforms that will allow you to learn technological products of your choosing on your own schedule. The program will be available in all languages to give people a chance to learn their new country's language.
3) I am offering my product to recently immigrated foreigners in a new country and people of old age who don't know how to work their technological products. I believe that what these two groups of people have in common is that one way or another, they don't have the time to learn more about their products. Whether it be a job or other priorities in life, these people don't have the time to take their product to the limit in terms of their understanding with it.
4) These groups of people should care for a number of reasons. For one, my product will allow the older generations of people to communicate more with their children or grandchildren. With the younger generations using technology more and more, the older generation of people are being left out. Secondly and most importantly, having a better job will make you look more attractive from an employee point of view. Knowing technology and how to use it is a key skill to understand from the workforce.
5) I have true real life experience of who this product is suited for. Growing up as a first generation American, and also living in a country for 4 months abroad where I didn't know the language I can understand how this product will work and who needs.
Evaluation: I feel like these elements all fit together to suit my product. I feel like they not only support myself and my ability to be an entrepreneur, but also to this product's needs and to make it more marketable.

    Jordan,
    Overall you have some good information and seem to have carried out the five steps well. I like that you draw on personal experience and bring your knowledge into the process. I can see how being abroad for that amount of time would make you want to create an app that would help with technology for others who are experiencing a similar situation. Overall great work and good post on your idea.

    Dear Jordan,
    In part 1 you do a great job of explaining who you are and conveying your skills to the reader. You clearly list things you have experience in and this helps heighten your legitimacy when you try to sell your product. You also do a good job of methodically going through each point and explaining it clearly. Also showing that you could have used the product in a realistic way shows potential uses for it.

    Hey Jordan, I like how you ordered how you would like to execute your idea. You well described how you are able to better those who lack the knowledge to use technology. Your idea is quite similar to mine as I am also offering to teach, however through the use of in-person tutor. It is also very interesting to find that we also share the experience of being first generation Americans! Maybe this is the reason we share the similar opportunity.

    Hi Jordan,
    You did a really good job on organizing your opportuniy. I have similar aspirations as you and seeing it being told from another persons point of view always opens up new thoughts and opinions on the idea. Your idea is a good one and can definetly help a lot of people with how they live their everyday lives after moving here. Even for elder people who have here this would be a great service for them. Great post!

1) I've developed an incredibly organizational mentality to keep up with the requirements of this course. There is a lot of work involved to succeed in this course. When it comes to keeping track of lectures, taking notes, and completing the assignments and the cupcakes, it takes great organizational ability to succeed. 26A – Celebrating Failure

1) This past semester, I was playing in a basketball game in our intramural league. Having played varsity basketball in high school, I consider myself to be a very good player. Anyways, in a game where we were down by 1, I missed two free throws that could've potentially won us the game. This is not the first time this has happened. I've never been that good of a free throw shooter, even with multiple hours put in of practice. I've had this exact scenario happen to me twice in my life before it happened again this semester. The other two times this has happened was once during a league game and once during a game for my high school in a tournament. 2) Even though this has happened to me three times in my life already, there is something I can learn from this.
