14A – Halfway Reflection
1) I've developed an incredibly organizational mentality to keep up with the requirements of this course. There is a lot of work involved to succeed in this course. When it comes to keeping track of lectures, taking notes, and completing the assignments and the cupcakes, it takes great organizational ability to succeed. This course isn't incredibility difficult per se, but it will be if you don't know how to organize yourself and manage your time. I feel like this type of behavior that I've developed will not only help me with the duration of this course, but also for my life after college where it will be even more essential to use. 2) The most prime moment where I felt like giving up was my senior year in high school playing for the basketball team. I was told in the beginning of the year by the coach that I wasn't going to get minutes to start the year. Having started the first 3 years of college, this was a pill that was extremely hard to swallow. I took over...
26A – Celebrating Failure
1) This past semester, I was playing in a basketball game in our intramural league. Having played varsity basketball in high school, I consider myself to be a very good player. Anyways, in a game where we were down by 1, I missed two free throws that could've potentially won us the game. This is not the first time this has happened. The other two times this has happened was once during a league game and once during a game for my high school in a tournament. 2) Even though this has happened to me three times in my life already, there is something I can learn from this. I learned that you need heavy investment in something in order to better yourself at it. Hours of practice isn't enough to better yourself. Instead, severe dedication through hundreds of hours of work must be put...
Overall this is a good improvement from your first elevator pitch. I thought that your physical presence and mannerisms were good and helped keep the viewer engaged. Also I felt that your content was good, but I think that you could spend more time explaining the service and have more detail in the pitch. Overall this is a good pitch and showed some improvement from the first one.

ReplyDeleteHey Rich, I thought you did a really good job on the elevator pitch, you spoke very clearly and with confidence, and I think that you transferred the ideas of your pitch very well. I like the eye contact you hold, and the manner with which you carry yourself when you present. I also think your used effective arm movement and body language, as well as dressed nicely.
